The Chesterfield Fire Company is an all Volunteer Fire Company dedicated to protecting Montville with Firefighting, Emergency Medical and Rescue Services, since 1947.

The volunteers of the Chesterfield Fire Company strive to promote life safety and minimize loss of property through their tireless dedication to serving their community, or wherever they may be called, during a time of crisis and emergency situations.

The Chesterfield Fire Company serves The Town of Montville, with members operating as Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Emergency Medial Responders and within the Fire-Police.

The Chesterfield Fire Company presently staffs and operates two Engines, a Rescue, two Brush Engines, an Ambulance, a First Responder Service Truck and Responder SUV, allowing The Members of The Fire Company the flexible capabilities required to serve and protect those within our Fire District, The Town of Montville and our neighboring communities.

The members of The Chesterfield Fire Company are trained to respond to structure fires, brush fires, motor vehicle accidents, water rescues, hazardous materials incidents, confined space rescues, emergency medical calls, as well as other situations, and in other specialist capabilities.

The Chesterfield Fire Company, as well as all our three sister Fire Companies within the Town of Montville, relies on the dedication of its volunteers.  It is vital that there is a sufficient pool of volunteers trained and willing to serve their neighbors and their community when called to do so. Applications for being a volunteer firefighter are accepted throughout the year.

In addition to serving the community during times of crisis and need, The Members of The Chesterfield Fire Company are active within the community educating the public on Fire Safety, checking smoke detectors, assisting in Fire Prevention, and being involved in charitable causes that improve the quality of life of the residents of Montville as well as our neighboring partner agencies.
